Clive Davis v. Kelly Clarkson: who cares?

Is it me, or does NO ONE care about this? I mean. I could be absolutely wrong, but this seems to be just fodder in the otherwise not-so-interesting life of Kelly Clarkson. Sure, she sells records. Sure, she has the capability to be an artist in these times (the interweb download age) that exhibits some form of longevity. But a fight with Clive Davis? This is surely something I'd much rather pay to see take place, but not something the culture of me cares at all to hear about, either in retrospect, or on CNN.
I mean. Come on guys. There's a war on. Pick a side. Clarkson or Davis? Otherwise, shut up already. Shouldn't the 24-hour news stations be covering another underwear misstep for Britney/Lohan or the impending lesbian rape/scissoring of Paris Hilton?
