Liam Gallagher (Oasis) says feud with Blur is "over"

Sep 28, 07

And to think, it only took a decade or so for these guys to realize it.  Competition's all good for sure guys, but this whole mess was just that.  A mess.

In a recent interview with Mojo, Gallagher was quoted as saying, “I don’t mind Blur. I’m over it,” he reveals. “ When I see Damon Albarn, I buzz off him.”

So there you have it.  The most important news piece to people still stuck in 1996.  In Europe, no less.

In other Blur/Oasis news, Oasis are readying the release of the digital-only single title track to their two-disc DVD set, "Lord Don't Slow Me Down", which is set for release at the end of next month.  Oh, and Noel's just had his second child.  As for Blur, those guys are still in the mix of potentially getting to work on a reunion and a new record.

News: Neko Case Fox Confessor goes deluxe, other reissues

Sep 27, 07

Fresh off of a massive tour with one Rufus Wainwright (although still on the road with the New Pornos), Neko Case will be getting a huge push in the '07 from her label, Anti.

Come November 6, the label will be putting out an updated version of Case's most recent effort, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, which will boast a previously unreleased demo version of the song “Behind The House” as well as complete reissues of 2000’s Furnace Room Lullaby, originally recorded under the moniker Neko Case and Her Boyfriends, and 2002’s Blacklisted.

AND on top of that, the new deluxe version of Fox Confessor also include a four-song sampler that has full-length versions of Blacklisted excerpts “Deep Red Bells” and “I Wish I Was The Moon,” plus the title track from Furnace Room Lullaby and the album’s first cut “Set Out Running.”

We would really be wiling to spend about 150 to 200 words about this and that in regards to Uncle Bob (not that we'd be so vulgar as to call him that to his face of course) but if in fact you are not fully acquainted with everything the grumpy Midas hath touched, well then, sir, you know not anything.  And you must return to your learning.  With haste.

Sep 26, 07

So I seriously do NOT deserve to be in the same article as the rest of the kids featured in the latest issue of The L Magazine about party/nightlife photographers.  I haven't stopped blushing all day because of this.  Special thanks (obviously) go to Zachary Palmer and all the gang at The L.  Go pick up your copy wherever it is you can.  Just look next to The Village Voice dispensers.

New Bruce Springsteen video: - "Long Walk Home"

Sep 26, 07

Clearly, there is no one nearly as big as The Boss.  This video, for Magic second single "Long Walk Home" is yet another example of this inarguable fact.  Get on the right side of the line in the sand people.

Video: Celebration - "Evergreen"

Sep 26, 07

The Modern Tribe lead single "Evergreen" gets the grow-your-own-crystals treatment in this, the new Matt Goldman directed video.  Katrina and company look to be engaging in a The Craft-like wicca circle (minus Fairuza Balk, BTW).  Then things get all crazy-like with quartz crystals and prisms erupting from all over the earth.  Even the beaches, y'all.  Become a member of The Modern Tribe on October 9.

Video: Super Furry Animals - "Run-Away"

Sep 25, 07

If we didn't already know that this is all a hilariously tongue-in-cheek joke video, we'd totally be making a comment like "SFA is now making videos that look like Richard Marx has been eating Meat Loaf's ass?  Word?  Wow.  Um.  I guess that's funny.  And sad.  Yeah, sad.  That's it.  Uh huh."

Cinema: Josh Homme (QOTSA) brings you "3's & 7's"

Sep 25, 07

So if you haven't fully gotten your fill of Queens of the Stone Age by now (especially if you've actually listened to the highly addictive sounds emanating from Era Vulgaris, you'll be happy to know that Spiketv.com will premiere the trailer of the upcoming feature film "3's & 7's", produced by Queens of the Stone Age's front man Josh Homme and brought to you by Livid Video tomorrow, Wednesday, September 26.

So, yeah, go there tomorrow for the trailer if you so choose.  This is in no way an attempt for the culture of me to get you to watch SpikeTV or to log on to SpikeTV.com.  We promise.  We don't shill for that kind of bullshit.  Yet.
