Video: Behind the scenes of the Kanye v. 50 Cent Rolling Stone cover shoot
Sep 07, 07
In this gem of egomaniacal proportions, viewers can finally see how, in a few days time, Kanye will be all about "see, I was the one who came up with the idea for that cover" mud that the culture of me is sure he'll be slinging at Curtis Jackson aka 50 Cent aka Fake Teeth McDaniels (trademark pending).
We're mostly bothered, though, by the Ali/Frazier analogy made in the video. I mean, come on. This isn't a fight. It's a commercialized crapshoot with all kinds of corporate sponsorship. May as well call this coming Tuesday, September 11 and the week following it the "Coca Cola buy as many copies of a potentially awful album as you can and get no recognition for it ever" extravaganza. We think that whoever wins will chalk it up to the fact that they're a better MC and NOT that they have more fans. Because, well, it's hip hop. Who cares about the fans in hip hop? That's right. No one.
Godspeed!
