Breakups cause breakdowns: The Blood Brothers & Some Girls
Oct 24, 07

So, many of you may already know this, but Justin Pearson, from Three One G and dozens of grind bands from San Diego, today confirmed the news that both The Blood Brothers and Some Girls (who've both worked extensively over the years with the Three One G label) have gone ahead and called it quits. Our heart bleeds a little less because of this news.
For the culture of me, this only adds insult to further injury in regard to one our fav bands ever breaking up about a year ago. The Plot To Blow Up the Eiffel Tower. We've seen both groups live and the experiences have been some of the most transcendently important to us that it's no longer right to not be emotional about these decisions.
In a Three One G forum discussion about the breakup, Pearson wrote:
i dont have buttons to be pushed anymore.
the blood bros broke up.
holy molar probably will not do anthing else. mark hates the band.
GUH is working on new stuff.
i heard that wes has a new project. nathan was telling me, something like "chrome jesus"? maybe im wrong.
sal is in geronimo and its so amazing.
i write my name at the end of my posts becuase this computer is open for anyone working at three one g to post on. so if its say "jp" its me, jp. if it does not, its not me.

So, in any event, we're going to go ahead and put forth the fact that we love love loved Neon Blonde and are still aching for a new track or something from Head Wound City, but none of this will really be sufficient for many of Some Girls' or Blood Brothers' fans. Just take a look at the heartbroken comments on their MySpace pages. We're sad. They're sad. From start to finish.
