News: ABBA museum to open in Stockholm

Dec 07, 07

A new $31 million museum dedicated to the Swedish pop music super-group ABBA is slated to open in Stockholm in June 2009.

The three-floor complex will feature a disco and a wardrobe room devoted to the band's iconic fashions, as well as a studio where fans can make their own recordings of ABBA tunes, the BBC said Friday.

Members of the band are contributing costumes, musical instruments and other memorabilia to the museum, but are not formally involved with its creation, the report said.

Didn't you always want to make your own recorded version of "Dancing Queen" or maybe "Mamma Mia!"?  I'm sure you totally did.  Don't lie.
