We are totally not above our guilty pleasures, and because of that fact, we bring you this: The Pierces. If you know anything about these girls it's probably that they are sisters, they are from Alabama, they are love love loved by fashion mags and they were just on Wednesday's "Gossip Girl" episode.
But what you may not now is that these two sisters in harmony are totally good at mixing the avant with the pop, the populist with the highbrow, the trashy with the chic. Serious business is what these girls are slinging. Songs filled with lust and love, secrets and lies, sex and deviance. It all makes for some of the most well-composed (yet modestly sounding) music we've heard from an indie girl group since those polka dotted fems caught us off guard a while back. Also, it doesn't hurt that they're totally hot.
