Samples of guns are officially the new pink/black/bicycle/whatever. Mickey Factz takes the tried and true formula of angry lyrics meets assault weapon beats to full effect. What you end up with is an indie-rap parade of sounds, yelps and shouts, along the lines of Cool Kids, but a little less pop and more weirdo. It's good to be poppy, while not being too much like Kanye or something that no longer holds onto the whole point of hip hop. It's more pop than, say, Talib Kweli or RZA would probably like, but whatever. Enjoy it for what it is, people.
