mp-FREE: Plagiarists - "Church"

We've listened to this song on repeat for about the last twenty minutes (my, aren't we compulsive) and every time, we get completely caught up in the first two minutes thinking that this has got to be some forgotten Cold War Kids demo or something.  It's completely engrossing and completely wonderful.

Plagiarists are a Minnesota-based five-piece who've already put out two records (most recently, last month's Literal Scene), were signed to Afternoon Records (cf. Now, Now Every Children) but self-released Scene and are arbiters of such a varied sense of their own rock history that a song like "Church" somehow fits well alongside the soaring Idlewild-lifted "Dress Rehearsals in Cold Rooms" and the Walkmen-infused "Wooden Horses".  These guys kill.
