Video: Estelle says no catfighting between the new crop of UK soul singers

Putting to bed the things she may or may not have actually meant to say about the other new voices in the UK soul scene, Estelle told ITN recently that there's just no beef between the ladies and everything was just taken out of context. Here's a snippet of what she supposedly said about Adele and Duffy:
"As a songwriter, I get what they do. As a black person, I'm like, 'You're telling me this is my music?' Fuck that! People keep trying to tell me what soul music is and I'm like, we know what soul music is, stop fucking around with us!"
We don't really know quite how that could be taken out of context (more here), but we're willing to suspend our disbelief for a minute. Sort of. But we're okay with how she's trying to squash any drama that may come up.
