Blog house is alive and well in the terrains down under with the kids in Wow, Pink Frost and Drugmoney, all of whom come together in these, a couple of remixes of the Wow track "Future Ghost".  We last talked about Wow when they did their own remix of a Bumblebeez track and we're confident that this will not be the last time you hear us talking about Pink Frost or Drugmoney.  These tracks are hot and you'll be definitely hearing them in all sorts of mixtapes, playlists and DJ sets.

Emerging: Mr. Vega

We usually use this space solely to pump artists and acts, but in the case of remixer extraordinaire Mr. Vega, we'll waive that habit.  And we're positive that after you hear the treatments this dude has done for the likes of Justice, Franz Ferdinand, Death From Above 1979 and The Kills (seriously, dude's probably worked on every track that's caught your attention over the last year or so), you'll be on the same page as we are over here.  Straight up fans of this guy, we're seriously laying in wait for more epicly spectacular treatments, remixes and (gasp!) originals.  Each one of his pieces is distinct, but none stray from his own personal flair for the ambient, the dark, the exceptional.

Sunset Cruisin make the kind of surf-inspired electro music that make us thankful for easy-going surfer dudes who listen to 8bit electro, watch "Point Break" and "Airborne" to the point of reciting lines incessantly and smoke as much of the green stuff as possible.  They've just put out an EP on their MySpace page for free called, go figure, Hang Ten and we kind of aren't mad at ourselves for saying that it may very well register in our top ten of this year.  Honest.

News: Noel Gallagher makes you a mixtape

Noel Gallagher, the more bushy-brow'd, usually quiet brother of the largely influential Oasis has gone and put together his own version of a mixtape on iTunes, creating an interesting medley of bygone rock heroes and other long-forgotten tracks.  Included in the list of songs are Dylan, The Doors, Elvis, Pink Floyd and others.

Video: The Prodigy - "Invaders Must Die"

Have you heard/seen this shit?  It's totally amazing that the dudes in The Prodigy are a) still together and b) still making compelling music and video clips after who knows how many years they've been pumping out stuff together.  "Invaders Must Die" is the first single off the upcoming new album of the same name from the boys, which is set to hit stores on March 2, nearly 5 years since their last effort, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned.

To celebrate the release of the compilation Kitsune Maison 6, the French label are sending founders Gildas Loaec & Masaya Kuroki (aka Gildas & Masaya) all around the east Asian territories of Korea, Japan and China, kicking off tomorrow night in Seoul with a gig at Mass.

Video: White Lies - "To Lose My Life"

UK doom and gloom group White Lies just released this, their second video under the direction of Andreas Nilsson (the first being their amazing clip for "Death"), last week and we have to say, it's rad.  Real talk rad.  It's videos like this one that make us feel like this band could be no less than huge, not only in their native country but (and this is the kicker) across the ocean, breaking down the walls of the US charts and gaining legions of fans who'll fall head first for the band's mix of dark wave-style yet peppy as shit music.

Download: Database ft. Bonde Do Role - "Miami (Baile Funk mix)"

An obvious meeting of two of Sao Paulo's best and brightest, this new mix from the duo known as Database basically rips out the refrain of the Bonde Do Role track "Miami Beach" for a full-out stomp.  And while the lyrics are merely a showing, the beat that the dudes employ is gripping.  It's immediate and bouncy, much like the band whom they're riffing.  This mix is old (September), but who cares?  Evergreens are evergreens and, going into a holiday for the next bit, we're totally not leaving you hanging.

Live: Broke-Ass Stuart's book release party

If you're not familiar with the dude who calls himself Broke-Ass Stuart, well, he's kind of a legendary zine figurehead in San Francisco who's gotten a lot of praise for his guidebook to that city for the "young, broke and beautiful".  Stuart's just released his newest chronicle, one for Gotham, and to celebrate, there's a big party going down next Thursday at The Delancey.  We'll be there and so will some of our fair city's up-and-coming acts, like Beyondo, Crooked Looks, Kelli Rudick and more.  Free beer and food all night and entry's only a dollar, so pony up that GW and come hang.
