If a band like The Ting Tings didn't rest on their pop laurels or if Goldfrapp didn't fly the rainbow flag so much, you'd have something along the same lines as Melbourne's boy/girl trip-hop-cum-pop-excellence group Svelt St. The husband and wife duo, who just released their first LP called Hello Dear also have another upper-hand when it comes to sweaty, dirty techno-pop: they may be the most amazingly gorgeous pair we've ever seen. We mean, eye candy like whoa. But they make really great tunes, too, which is why they're on this site. We do love to look at pretty things, yes, but there has to be something substantial there, and with Svelt St., there is.
