Emerging: BLACKBLACK

Okay, so maybe this isn't a story of overnight success, but success all the same. BLACKBLACK, an LA-based trio of two sisters and one weirdo male compatriot, has been making outsider indie rock since 2005 with little notice outside of their scene. But we have a feeling that this trio could be ridiculously great outside of the Sunshine State almost immediately. The music itself is sketchy at best: all sorts of cricks and cracks, guitars that slice and slopfest bass, and each and every song is brimming with campsite witchcraft singalongs. BLACKBLACK, after rollicking for four years without much fanfare, should officially be dead-center on your radars, kids, and they should stay there for pretty much a really long time.
