We've never really thought too highly of any remixes of tracks from The Kills before and that's more than likely due in part to how much we cherish (well, covet) the original, sweaty-wet Jamie Hince/Alison Mosshart renditions and how anyone trying to rip them up to start again is doing somewhat of a disservice to that memory. But then we heard this treatment by Eron Mezza, a Hungarian from the band Mizanthrop, which stays true to the slithering, lithe instrumental huff-and-puff of the original recording, kicking a little more electronic pulses and pitches into the pile, but not drowning any of it in too much, well, stuff. And it's only two minutes long, so you don't get caught up the product at all, it seems to snake around for a short time and then just scurries back and away.
