Welcome to the new alley kids. Tin can alley. Irish fuzzed-to-death-pop Dublin Duck Dispensary create the noisiest, most fun racket you're likely to hear this year from a band/artist that doesn't have a name that rhymes with "paves". Coincidentally, Bobby from DDD gave us a shout with his new EP, Yykes Basket (pronounced "eeks"), with a simple message, "I supported Wavves last night". Quick to pigeonhole music, one might say it's lo-fi and GBV-production-inspired, but we're 1000% content to just say it's fucking brilliant. Everything is as long as it needs to be, nothing overpowers anything else but that's mostly because everything is right at the same level. And with lyrics about poking your eyes out ("The Last Bottle In The World") and artwork like this, you simply cannot complain.
