What a rad way to start off a tenure at The Studio at Webster Hall. The same dudes that bring you to your knees every Friday night on the main stage of the venue have added yet another weekly party to their portfolio, with a smaller space but the same powerhouse punch out draw. For the first night they asked Russell, the guitarist from Bloc Party to come by and DJ since the band had just played at Terminal 5. Alongside him was Ed Banger Records head Busy P, who brought the booty bass and French touch out in swarms. And of course, resident DJs Kids With Snakes, rekLES and Alex English were there too, and although it was the smokiest place we've been to in New York City in as long as we can remember, we still had a fucking blast.
