A few months back, we featured London's Catherine A.D. as one of our "emerging" artists that we thought would be (and is) on the cusp of a full-scale pop culture takeover saying she was "gentle, coy, nearly-too-endearing-for-its-own good".  Today, we got wind of yet another piece of evidence to push that mark up even further in this, a cover version of one of Catherine's apparent favorite songs from 2008, "Paris" by Friendly Fires.  Instead of the original's complete lift of feeling from A Certain Ratio, the cover version is all A.D.'s belting and cooing, backed merely with simple strings, drums and bass lines, none of which getting close to being in the way of the storied vocals.
