Super subtle bedroom electro pop is where it's at for us these days, and Sydney duo So I'm Jo are right in the middle of that alley, creating a completely compulsory vision of laptop geekery, emotive arrangements and simple yet effective vocal patterns. Fans of the softer edge of Hot Chip or the bitter, upending tranquility of M83 will all find a sweet home with these guys. It's still disco to a degree but it's a much, er, safer styling of the genre. It's totally accessible and the fact that these guys--without hesitation--sound like they've been taking crib notes from our favorite album of last year instantly got us all gushy.
