News: Definitive Jux cats learn to Time Travel
Apr 13, 09

We still get all giggly about the fact that something like Definitive Jux has been able to maintain such an interesting space in the pop cultural landscape. The sort-of-avant/indie/left field hip hop label has been seriously putting the original ideals and tenets of early hip hop back into their part of the game since way back before Y2K became the greatest meme of last century (okay, 1999). And now, the kids are taking you back back back with a new label compilation called Time Travel (Vol. 1), out April 14. The disc will feature the likes of El-P, Mr. Lif, Aesop Rock, Cage, Despot and more.
