So yeah, we're fans of Canadian DJ/producer deadmau5. We mean, who isn't, really? But here's the thing. Sometimes, when you translate a really rad headphones track to a huge main stage at Webster Hall, and you compound that with a mess of a crowd that must've come from the far away land known as Doucheland (no relation to Deutchland, natch), a weird thing happens. You might lose our interest. And that's sort of what happened on Friday night at Webster Hall. Mixing a ton of techno, minimal, house and borderline trance records, he DJed for hours, whipping the masses of bubblegum-chewing, lip-glossing, hair-gelling, shirt-taking-off crowd all around in a swirl of stabbing synths, drums and effects. We didn't actually take that many photos of this crowd, but we did do something special: we shot deadmau5's set frame-by-frame to make this surprisingly fun and rad image sequence video.
