Spliced: VEGA
May 27, 09
In a new segment here at THE CULTURE OF ME, we take our questions straight to the source, meaning you get a one-on-one talk with your favorite bands from your favorite people: us!! Introducing "Spliced", a rudimentary video interview series. This time: VEGA.
VEGA, as you should already very well know, is a trio of young lads from Texas who were born from the ashes of Ghosthustler, and who create the sort of irresistibly conscious dance music (with tremendous pop leanings) and have come to be known as one of the bands who are representative of a genre affectionately called "dreamwave". They're gearing up for the July 1 drop of their first EP, Well Known Pleasures, and were here in New York City for a few days this past weekend, playing their first ever Gotham date on Sunday at Studio B. We caught up with them before they took the stage and pinched and prodded them for some easy--and some not so much--questions.
