We're all well and fine and totally fans of P-Thugg and Dave 1 aka Chromeo, but the night belonged to VIKING. No questions, it just did. Dude destroyed every notion of opening set DJs we had ever thought up with his set of thin electro, staccato syncs and the segues and connections. When the man/woman/team behind the decks can read the crowd and isn't just "playing records" you start to see things differently. More clear. Precise. Dave 1 may have had top billing and the females all up in their tizzies, but this kid who you'll hear nothing but hype about in the coming months owned the night. Anyone who spreads the middle of their set wide open with the world premiere of Terror Dactel's remix of "La La La" by LMFAO into "Money (VIP remix)" by TADT gets our vote in their ballot box. Pull the lever, click your choice and pull the lever back.
