The new single from Brazil's Database duo thrusts you immediately into a dark, dank tunnel of swirling sounds, bouncing off masonry walls and plaster bits hanging loosely about. The track's four-plus minutes are mostly spent working your way out of the hole, with clusters of muzzled notes that are meant to soar, but you're not out yet. From minute three, the light begins to trickle in and the walls are breached with effects and ceaseless bass and by the track's end--the last minute or so--you're nearing territory treaded mostly by the likes of The Valerie Collective (so it's of course not a coincidence with the song's title after all) until, that is, you run out of room.

Aside from "A French Winter", the boys also have two new official remixes to share, of Metronomy's "Radio Ladio" and the Duchess Says stomper "Black Flag".
