Photos: Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival 2009

Aug 11, 09

So here it is. Finally. Our coverage of the 2009 festival known as BEMF, or, to those that hate acronyms, Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival. With almost 40 bands and DJs over the course of a half-day run, The Old American Can Factory in the heart of Gowanus was taken over by loud, sweaty, fun, exuberant, brilliant, fantastic energy. With epic performances from almost too many acts to list (though we'll say that Flashmen, NROTB, Terror Dactel, Bell, Gavin Royce, The Juan Maclean, Free Magic and Awesome New Republic were standouts), we're spent, still sweaty and unbearably excited by what we saw, heard and felt. Hope you were there and felt the same way.
