So this past Friday at Girls & Boys, the kids got treated to DJ sets from Kill The Noise and The Twelves and a short performance from the electro-tinged alternative rock act Human Life (who apparently have a single due out via Alan Braxe's label). While we don't share the enthusiasm that Braxe may have for that trio, we totally enjoyed the heavily mechanized set from Kill The Noise, who never seems to disappoint the ears or the crowd. Dude did a considerable amount of microphone shouting throughout the set trying to rile the kids up a bit more--especially when the dudes in The Twelves weren't exactly ready yet and had to set up a little too much on-the-fly. We didn't stay for their set as we had to pay our respects at the final Ruff Club (more on that later) but it was totally nice running into Treasure Fingers, Robert from French Horn Rebellion and the guys in Database at Webster Hall.
