Video: Silversun Pickups - "Substitution"

What do beautiful girls, belted dress, high heels, moose heads, amplifiers, a one-man judge, eye rolls and the most competitive game of musical chairs recorded on film ever have in common? Mostly nothing, but they're each featured in the subject matter of the new video from the Silverlake, CA-based indie rockers Silversun Pickups for their newest single "Substitution" (from their sophomore disc, Swoon). It's pretty standard sonic fare for the band, with whisper-sung vocals, driving guitars, bass and drums and peppered synths all mixed into a steadied pogo-inducing song. The band kicks off a US tour tomorrow alongside Cage The Elephant and Manchester Orchestra.
