Download: Plan B - "Stay Too Long"

Pretty snappy 60s soul/rock 'n' roll rip ups and homages abound in this, the lead single from the sophomore album from Brit singer/songwriter Plan B. The record, entitled The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, was produced once again by Paul Epworth (Friendly Fires, Jack Peñate, Florence And The Machine, Kate Nash) and even though in this track we think the quick breaks where there is angular guitars and whipping drums underneath a completely throwaway rap leave us ill at ease, the disc as a whole should make for an interesting addition to your 2009 catalog of albums. Honestly the guy's got a serious voice to him and it's just got to up there in the mix, front and center. That's an order.
