Live: DJ Spooky listening party next week for The Secret Song

Oct 02, 09

Next Tuesday marks the release of yet another mind-destroying record from Paul Miller aka DJ Spooky, dubbed The Secret Song. To honor the occasion, Spooky is heading over to the new "it" spot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bowl that night for a listening party. Along with the record, fans can rejoice experiencing the DVD portion of the new release as well--and the film "Dub Echoes". It's totally free, but 21+, so no young'ns.

Here's a breakdown (seriously who ever put this together is our OCD champion) of the night's festivities:

6:00 pm: doors (happy hour bowling specials being offered)
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm: Screening of "Dub Echoes"
8:00 pm - 8:45 pm: "The Secret Song" Listening Session
8:45 pm - 9:00 pm: Bonus DVD screening (Spooky's remastering and re-scoring of the 1924 Russian revolution film by Dziga Vertov titled "Kino-Glaz"). The trailer for that DVD can be found here.
