Live: MeanRed's "Shanghai'd" CMJ parties start tonight

All going down tonight, tomorrow and Friday nights, the dashing ladies of MeanRed have put together a three-day event worth a takeover of New York City lives for the next 72 hours. Full disclosure though, no matter how much we love them and Noise Problem, we will not be there tomorrow night to support as you all know that we'll be doing our own showcase at Europa in Brooklyn. Joining forces with Fool's Gold, Noise Problem and Famous Friends, the kids are all joining hands in a circle pit of doom, taking over the dim sum spot 88 Palace--literally underneath the Manhattan Bridge in Chinatown--for showcases of some of our favorite acts all under one sparkly roof. There is a ton of great stuff to see/hear/feel, and we'll be there with bells on tonight and Friday night. Tomorrow night, though, we own the sky. To get you guys pumped for the affair, MeanRed homegirl and super duper friend of THE CULTURE OF ME family, Jenny G, collaborated with Cobra Krames on a send-up of Lady GaGa's "Poker Face" where it's more of a dubby, psychotically vibed, probably hallucinogen-induced deep rave gem. A fucking gem indeed.
