Photos: CMJ 2009 with Fool's Gold on October 21

This past Wednesday was the second day of the 2009 CMJ festival here in New York City and from Tuesday until about 5am this morning, we were full-steaming it all over our fair Gotham, catching bands, raging at parties and just being crabby tired wrecks. We didn't take any photos at a lot of the showcases and parties because we didn't one hundred percent feel like it the whole time, but we did shoot some choice things. Wednesday we stopped by 88 Palace, the converted dim sum restaurant literally under the Manhattan Bridge, quickly for the first day of the Fool's Gold Records showcases and caught Sammy Bananas DJing--with Maggie Horn joining him for two songs as Telephoned. We jumped out of there and headed over to Ella in the East Village for a quick hello to our mustachioed friend Nicky Digital at his showcase but only stayed a bit, opting only to amp up a little for the day to save up for the rest of the week.
