Video: Dizzee Rascal - "Dirtee Cash"

Oct 28, 09

An uptempo lament on the culture of celebrity and the young ones coming up aiming to live it and only it, Dizzee Rascal's new single "Dirtee Cash" is probably our favorite from the lot that's come from his newest album, Tongue 'N' Cheek. It's a cover and rip-up of the much-passed-over 1988 cut from Stevie V called "Dirty Cash" which was a huge club hit and even with the Rascal flow on top of it and new rhymes, it'll probably be way slept on though, seeing as how it's much more socially conscious in lyric, but totally party in beats. A red herring of a dance track if you will, but Diz always spits grime with the same upfront stance, never really fully cracking either a frown or a smile.
