World Premiere: Meterhead unveil their newest EP of official remixes

Oct 05, 09

The bicoastal brothers in Meterhead are back this month with a triad of exceptionally-made remixes, all of which will see official release in the coming weeks, which in and of itself is pretty stellar and really worth congratulating. First, out on Interscope Records is the boys' rework of Wale's "Chillin'" which features contributions from the one and only 2009 artist who's practically everywhere, Lady Gaga. And to finish off the pile are treatments for the Black Lips/GZA collab "Drop I Hold", which will see dropping via VICE Records and the Acid Girls track "Wake Up" (featuring Frankmusik's cooing throughout), which has amazing potential to be the jam of the autumn on the dancefloors. The Wale edit is tough as nails too and honestly seeks the mass appeal we know that Meterhead are akin to and deserve. Hopefully these three are the spells needed to be cast to get them there.
